Outstanding Team of the Month Award

Georgia Tech Residence Life
Outstanding Team of the Month Award Nomination Process and Form

Introduction
The Outstanding Team of the Month Award is designed to recognize one team each month for going "above and beyond" Residence Life expectations. These teams can be Hall Director and Student Staff units, Committee Chairs and Committees, Assistant Director and Area Managers, Office Manager and Office Assistants, Judicial Board members and Advisor, Hall Council and Hall Director Advisor, Learning Center Coordinator and Tutors, or other like combinations. What is important is that this team worked well together, created an outstanding product - training experience, activity or program, surpassed goals for attendance, etc. - and made a positive impact on the students and/or staff that they serve.

Process
Each month, one team will be selected as that month's outstanding contributor to Residence Life. Nominations may come from anyone - members of the team, supervisors of these members, residents, RHA/Hall Councils, other housing staff or campus colleagues.

Nominations are due the 10th of each month (or the closest Friday if the 10th falls on a weekend). The Nomination Form is available below.

Selection
The Director of Residence Life, with input from other senior Housing leaders (Director, Associate Directors), will select the winning Team each month.

Rewards

The winning team will:

  • be announced at the following Residence Life Meeting
  • receive a visit from the Director of Residence Life with treats and token gifts
  • be featured on the Web page
  • be recognized at the end-of-the-year Staff Banquet
  • the full-time leader of the team will automatically be nominated for future "Auxiliary Services Employee of the Month" award
